U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Makes Major Economic Stimulus Announcement in California
Nearly Half A Billion Dollars in Recovery Act funding will be announced during telephonic press conference on Thursday
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency will host a telephonic press conference to discuss how recent economic stimulus funding will affect California. Key federal and state representatives will participate in the telephonic press conference to discuss how this latest Recovery Act funding will create jobs, boost local economies, and improve environmental infrastructure for communities in California. This new infusion of money provided by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 will help California and local governments finance many of the overdue improvements to water projects that are essential to protecting public health and the environment across the state.
STATEWIDE TELEPHONE PRESS CONFERENCE: EPA will host a telephonic press conference at 1:00 pm PT on Thursday, May 21st.
SAN FRANCISCO MEDIA AVAILABILITY: To accomodate broadcast media outlets, EPA will host an in-person media availability at 2:15 pm PT on Thursday, May 21st. EPA Region 9 - 75 Hawthorne St., San Francisco, CA.
