EPA Awards $480,000 to Texas to Survey Texas Gulf Coast

 

(Dallas, Texas – May 5, 2010)  The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has awarded $480,000 to the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ).  The funds will be used to support a comprehensive survey of the nation’s coasts.  The National Coastal Condition Assessment is a statistical survey of coastal waters of the United States.  The survey is designed to assess the condition of the nation’s coasts, promote collaboration across jurisdictional boundaries, and build state tribal capacity for coastal monitoring and assessment.
