Through this MOU, the AT&T Pioneers and EPA Region 4’s Children’s Environmental Health (CEH) program will build a cooperative working relationship in areas of mutual agreement during the 2010 and 2011 calendar years. The areas of cooperation covered by this MOU include, but are not limited to:
· Creation of an EPA/AT&T Pioneers partnership where the Pioneers will conduct and support children’s environmental health activities and programs.
· EPA will provide technical support for Pioneers’ environmental health initiatives.
· Provision of EPA experts and/or resources to support environmental health education and outreach activities which includes various training and educational programs.
· Partnership activities to include a Green Project, a light bulb distribution to Georgia communities (Light Up Georgia), a river clean-up activity (Rivers Alive), a children’s environmental health activity, and two other local environmental projects.
Leading up the to the signing of the MOU, the AT&T Pioneers have been instrumental in providing outreach to 38 Georgia communities which directly impacted over 7,000 children, parents ,and other caregivers.
