TODAY: Federal Officials to Announce Pipeline Oil Spill Settlement with BP Alaska
WASHINGTON– Officials representing the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Office of Enforcement and Compliance Assurance (EPA), the U.S. Department of Justice Environment and Natural Resources Division (ENRD) and Department of Transportation Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) will announce a major settlement impacting the environment and pipeline safety on Alaska’s North Slope.
