(DALLAS – April 26, 2011) The City of Goliad, Texas, can now be sure that its wastewater is treated in compliance with federal and state laws. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency awarded $194,000 to Goliad to upgrade and elevate the city’s primary sewer line to provide necessary infrastructure funding that enhances the safety of the wastewater treatment plant.
Wastewater management encompasses a broad range of efforts that promote effective and responsible water use, treatment and disposal. Under the Clean Water Act, EPA oversees regulatory and voluntary programs that help manage the nation's wastewater.
