News Release (Region 6): $470,000 Awarded to Prevent Air Pollution in New Mexico

 

$470,000 Awarded to Prevent Air Pollution in New Mexico  

 

(DALLAS – Sept. 30, 2010)  The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) awarded $470,000 to the New Mexico Environment Department (NMED).  The funds will be used by NMED to administer the State’s Air Pollution and Abatement program which aims to prevent, reduce, and eliminate air pollution.  The funds will also administer the State’s air permitting, air planning, environmental compliance programs and ambient monitoring activities.
