> CARMAKER CHRYSLER FILES FOR BANKRUPTCY
U.S. carmaker Chrysler has filed for bankruptcy in New York, but
a deal has been reached to combine the company with Fiat in
order to allow Chrysler to stay in business. U.S. President
Barack Obama said that the bankruptcy filing is not a failure
for the company but "one more step on the path to Chrysler's
revival."

> MAN CHARGED WITH TRYING TO ATTACK DUTCH ROYALS
Dutch police charged a man with trying to attack the royal
family Thursday after he crashed a car near a bus carrying Queen
Beatrix and her family, police said. Five people were killed and
