EPA Awards Over $1 Million to Reduce Diesel Emissions to the Port of Corpus Christi Authority

 

(Dallas, Texas – July 15, 2010)  The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has awarded $1,026,058 to reduce diesel emissions to the Port of Corpus Christi Authority.  The funds will improve air quality in the Corpus Christi area by reducing emissions from in-use diesel engines.  The project will repower a 120-ton switch engine locomotive and two industrial diesel engines with anti-idling, fuel efficiency and particulate filtering technology.
