EPA Warns Consumers to Watch Out for Illegal Moth Repellants

(New York, NY – Nov. 22, 2010) The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Regional Administrator Judith Enck will be joined by Officer John Saleh from U.S. Customs and Border Protection at a press conference to warn consumers against purchasing or using illegal moth repellants that could be mistaken for candy. While U.S. Customs has seized a recent shipment of the pesticides, other illegal moth repellants may already have made their way into stores. They are marketed particularly to the Asian population.
