Happy Fourth of July!
This weekend might just be the most outdoors celebrated holiday in the United States. Whether it’s racing the kids into the water, or a picnic in a park, submit your favorite photos of the State of the Environment that you experience this Fourth of July.

Near Washington D.C.? It’s your chance to take on next week’s Documerica Location Challenge! We’ll be featuring photos captured in 1972 of the once dangerously polluted Potomac River and other scenes from the area. Snap a photo from the same or similar spot now and your photo could display side by side with the original as our State of the Environment exhibit tours the country next year.
