Change in EPA News Releases by Email

Hello. We are writing to you because you currently subscribe to receive EPA's news releases via email on at least one topic (our apologies if you receive this notice more than once).

For the past several years, we have offered news releases via email about specific topics from either EPA's headquarters in Washington, DC or our regional offices. For example, in the past you could choose to receive news releases about air and water issues, but not about enforcement, from our Washington office or a specific regional office.

In our continuing efforts to be more cost effective, we are making some changes to how we distribute news releases. Soon, you will receive news releases from a location (such as headquarters or a regional office) instead of about specific topics. For example, if you currently receive news releases from our Chicago office about enforcement, you will soon begin to receive news releases on all topics from that regional office. Or, if you currently receive press releases about air and water from our Washington headquarters, you will begin to receive all news releases from that office.

This new distribution will begin about October 5.

You can still view press releases by locality, topic, date, and other categories on our website at http://www.epa.gov/newsroom/newsreleases.htm . Also, we post all news releases from all EPA offices on Twitter at http://twitter.com/epanews .

We hope you will continue to find our news releases helpful.

Thank you for your interest in EPA.
