EPA Awards $450,000 to the New Mexico Environment Department

 

(Dallas, Texas – September 2, 2009)  The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has awarded $450,000 to the New Mexico Environment Department (NMED).  These funds will be used by NMED to support the permitting, enforcement, and program management of hazardous waste activities.  NMED will also use the funds to conduct facility inspections, oversee corrective action and the closure of hazardous waste facilities.
