News Release: EPA Launches Spanish Version of MyRTK Application

Los usuarios pueden enterarse de los efectos potenciales de la salud asociados con estas sustancias químicas tóxicas y aprender si un establecimiento en particular está cumpliendo con las leyes ambientales federales. For any location, myRTK maps facilities that report to the Toxics Release Inventory (TRI) Program and shows what chemicals are being released to air, water, and land. Users can find out about the potential health effects associated with the chemicals and learn whether a particular facility is in compliance with major environmental laws. The English and Spanish versions of myRTK are usable on smart phones and desktop computers.   TRI was established in 1986 by the Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act and later expanded by the Pollution Prevention act of 1990. Together, the laws require facilities in certain industry sectors to report annually on releases, disposal and other waste management activities related to over 650 toxic chemicals.
