July is UV Safety month: The UV Index predicts the strength of harmful solar rays. Check the UV Index - when you know how strong the sun's rays will be, you can take steps to protect yourself and your family from overexposure.

Check your beach water. Get the latest information on beach water quality before you go, or contact the state office.

Green your screen. If you get rid of your old TV, be sure to eCycle it to help keep valuable materials and toxics out of landfills. If you buy a new TV, look for an efficient model with the Energy Star label.
