TUESDAY & WEDNESDAY: EPA Administrator to Testify on FY 2013 Budget
WASHINGTON – Tomorrow, Tuesday, February 28, EPA Administrator Lisa P. Jackson will testify before the House Energy and Commerce Subcommittees on Energy & Power and Environment & the Economy on EPA’s proposed FY 2013 budget. On Wednesday, February 29, Administrator Jackson will testify before the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Interior, Environment, and Related Agencies on the FY 2013 budget.
On February 13, the Obama Administration proposed an FY 2013 budget of $8.344 billion for the EPA. The FY 2013 budget is the result of EPA’s ongoing efforts to carefully consider potential cost savings and reductions while continuing its commitment to core environmental and health protections -- safeguarding Americans from pollution in the air they breathe, the water they drink and the land where they build their communities.
