EPA Administrator Jackson Participates in the Rio+20 UN Conference on Sustainable Development

WASHINGTON – Tuesday, June 19, to Friday, June 22, 2012, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Administrator Lisa P. Jackson will join international policy-makers, business leaders and youth leaders at the UN Rio+20 Conference on Sustainable Development. Discussions will focus on actions individuals, institutions, governments, and the private sector can take to achieve environmental protection, social development and economic prosperity over the next 20 years.

At the conference, Administrator Jackson will participate in a number of activities intended to expand the conversation on environmentalism, support the development of greener economies and smarter cities and protect human health.
