Buffalo River Restoration Projects To Be Discussed At April 29 Public Meeting

CHICAGO (April 26, 2010) – Federal and state agencies and local not-for-profits will host a public meeting Thursday, April 29, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the Old First Ward Community Center, 62 Republic Street, Buffalo, to highlight upcoming Buffalo River Restoration Projects.

Representatives of U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Buffalo District and Buffalo Niagara Riverkeeper will make presentations and provide updates on the progress of restoring the Buffalo River, including the Great Lakes Legacy Act Buffalo River sediment remediation project and a summary of the navigational dredging funded by the Great Lakes Restoration Initiative.
